Hair Restoration

Helping you with hair loss + thinning

At Evolution MedSpa, Board-Certified providers who specialize in Aesthetics and Internal Medicine will help find the cause of your hair loss or thinning first with an initial consultation and some blood work if needed.

Some common causes of hair loss that we can help with

  • Genetic causes (androgenetic alopecia). Male pattern baldness (receding hairline, crown thinning) or Female pattern hair loss (diffuse thinning, widening part). Caused by sensitivity to DHT (dihydrotestosterone), a hormone derived from testosterone. Progressive, but treatable with medications we can prescribe and/or microneedling and injection treatments with hair exosomes

  • Hormonal Imbalances like Thyroid disease (hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism) or PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), we can obtain blood work or imaging if needed and treat/monitor.
  • Pregnancy/postpartum
  • Menopause
  • Nutritional Deficiencies. Hair needs iron, protein, biotin, zinc, and B vitamins. Common causes like Iron deficiency anemia, Crash dieting or eating disorders, Malabsorption issues (e.g., celiac disease, bariatric surgery). We offer nutrition counseling, IV and oral vitamins catered to your individualized needs
  • Stress. Physical or emotional stress can shock hair follicles into a resting phase.
  • Common triggers:
    • Illness (e.g., COVID-19, flu, surgery. Hair loss typically starts 2–3 months after the trigger and may last up to 6 months.
    • Medications
    • Scalp and skin disorders
    • Traction or mechanical damage like: tight hairstyles, hair extensions, excessive heat or chemical treatments
    • Autoimmune or systemic conditions
    • Aging (natural thinning)
    • Genetics not linked to DHT
    • Chronic inflammation
    • Environmental toxins

We can help you find the cause

  • Take a detailed medical and family history at your consult
  • Perform blood tests
  • Do a scalp exam

OR if you have already been diagnosed and are looking for a treatment then you can book a treatment for Microneedling with exosomes and growth factors. This treatment has gained attention in the treatment of hair loss and thinning because it combines two powerful mechanisms: the stimulation of the scalp's healing response and the introduction of biological molecules that promote hair growth

Frequently Asked Questions

How it works: Microneedling involves creating tiny, controlled injuries (microchannels) in the scalp using small needles. This process stimulates the body's natural healing response, promoting blood flow, collagen production, and the regeneration of skin cells. Effect on hair growth: The microchannels also help facilitate the absorption of topical treatments (like exosomes and growth factors) into deeper layers of the scalp, which can enhance the effectiveness of these treatments.

What they are: Exosomes are tiny, cell-derived vesicles that contain a variety of biomolecules such as proteins, lipids, and RNA. They act as messengers between cells and play a key role in cellular communication. How they help with hair loss: Exosomes, when derived from stem cells, can help to promote tissue regeneration and repair. They deliver growth factors and signaling molecules that activate hair follicle stem cells, stimulate the production of new hair cells, and help to reverse the miniaturization of hair follicles (a common issue in hair thinning and loss). Key benefits: Exosomes can promote tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and stimulate hair follicles to grow thicker, healthier hair.

Synergistic Effect: Microneedling, when combined with exosomes and growth factors, creates an optimal environment for hair restoration. The micro-injuries created by the microneedles allow for better penetration of the exosomes and growth factors, which are then absorbed into the scalp and help to rejuvenate hair follicles. Stimulating Dormant Follicles: The combination helps to activate dormant or miniaturized follicles, leading to the production of thicker, fuller hair. Improved Blood Flow and Regeneration: Both microneedling and exosome therapy help to improve blood circulation to the scalp, which is crucial for the overall health of hair follicles. This leads to more nutrients and oxygen being delivered to the follicles, further promoting hair growth.

What they are: Growth factors are proteins that naturally occur in the body and regulate various cellular processes, including cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation. In hair loss treatments, growth factors such as platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and fibroblast growth factor (FGF) are commonly used. How they help with hair loss: Growth factors stimulate the hair follicles by promoting blood circulation, encouraging follicle regeneration, and encouraging hair follicle stem cells to enter the growth phase (anagen). This helps to reverse hair thinning by encouraging the production of new, healthy hair.

The frequency of treatment can vary depending on individual factors and practitioner recommendations, but here's a general guideline.

  • Average treatments start at 3-4 spaced apart by 3-4 weeks depending on complexity, severity, age, overall health, other concurrent treatments, response to early sessions and ongoing hair goals
  • Maintenance may be anywhere from once every 3, 6 or 12 mos depending on the individual and what is causing the hair thinning or loss

  • The scalp or other area treated needs time to heal between sessions.
  • Microneedling causes micro-injuries that trigger the body’s healing response and enhance exosome absorption.
  • Exosomes continue working for several weeks post-treatment, so spacing is important for optimal results.

  • Some people notice improvements within a few weeks but optimal will be 2–3 months
  • Combining with other therapies may improve outcomes but should be done under our medical supervision and may include other services and products we offer including vitamin infusions, oral supplements, prescription and topical products.

Yes! Microneedling with exosomes and growth factors has been shown to improve hair density, thickness, and overall scalp health. While results can vary from person to person, many people experience visible improvements after a series of treatments. In essence, this combination of Microneedling and advanced biological therapies works because it enhances the body's natural regenerative processes, supporting the repair and rejuvenation of hair follicles in a targeted, effective way.

  • Exosomes are packed with hundreds of growth factors, cytokines, mRNA, and microRNA that are specifically engineered by stem cells to promote tissue repair and regeneration.
  • PRP, by contrast, contains growth factors extracted from your own blood, but in lower and more variable concentrations depending on individual health, age, and preparation method.
  • Exosomes deliver a higher, more consistent dose of regenerative signals.
  • PRP quality depends on the patient’s health, diet, and platelet count. Smokers, older individuals, or those with certain conditions may have less potent PRP.
  • Exosomes have no patient variability. They are derived from young, healthy stem cells, typically mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), and are lab-purified for consistent potency.
  • Exosomes act as messengers that reprogram surrounding cells, stimulate angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation), reduce inflammation, and activate dormant hair follicles.
  • PRP works mainly by releasing growth factors that promote healing but doesn't have the same signaling power or regenerative breadth.
  • Exosomes produce earlier, visible results (as soon as 6–8 weeks), longer-lasting  improvements with fewer sessions
  • PRP may require more sessions and regular maintenance every few months

Clients should not feel the procedure at all, just a vibrating sensation. All clients are numbed approximately 30 mins prior to each treatment, to assure there is no pain for the duration of  the treatment
