Technology vs. Manual Technique

HydraFacial: Uses a patented device with vortex suction and infusion tips to deeply cleanse, exfoliate, extract impurities, and infuse targeted serums.

Regular Facial: Relies on the hands and basic tools of an aesthetician for cleansing, exfoliation, and extractions.

Depth of Treatment

HydraFacial: Provides medical-grade exfoliation and hydration at a deeper skin level, with consistent results each session.

Regular Facial: Improves surface texture and appearance, but results can vary based on the aesthetician’s technique.

Customization

HydraFacial: Offers specialized boosters (brightening, anti-aging, acne, hydration, etc.) tailored to specific concerns.

Regular Facial: Can be customized with masks, peels, or massage, but lacks the same precision in serum delivery.

Comfort & Recovery

HydraFacial: Gentle, painless extractions with no downtime — skin looks instantly plump and glowing.

Regular Facial: Extractions may be uncomfortable, and redness is more common afterward.

Results

HydraFacial: Immediate, noticeable radiance and smoother skin, with cumulative benefits after multiple treatments.

Regular Facial: Relaxing and beneficial for circulation and relaxation, but less dramatic changes in skin health.

Signature (Classic) HydraFacial

• Core Steps: Cleanse, exfoliate (peel), extract, and hydrate using vortex-fusion technology.

Deluxe HydraFacial

• Includes all elements of the Signature treatment plus:
  • Booster serum tailored to specific skin concerns (e.g., hydration, fine lines, pigmentation).
  • LED light therapy—often red (anti-aging) and/or blue (acne)

Platinum HydraFacial

• Includes everything in the Deluxe package plus:
  • Lymphatic drainage—a massage designed to detoxify, reduce puffiness, and enhance circulation.
  • At times, additional manual extractions, custom masks, or massage (specific enhancements vary by spa).

Lasers (resurfacing, IPL, etc.)

Wait at least 2 weeks before or after a HydraFacial.

If it’s an aggressive resurfacing laser (like CO₂ or erbium), spacing may be 4 weeks or longer depending on healing.

Microneedling / RF Microneedling

Wait 2 weeks after microneedling before doing a HydraFacial (to avoid disrupting healing).

You can safely do HydraFacial before microneedling (same day is usually not advised; best to space by a few days).

Botox / Neurotoxin (e.g., Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau)

Safe to do HydraFacial before toxin injections the same day.

If toxin is already injected, wait at least 24–48 hours before doing HydraFacial, so you don’t risk shifting the product.

Dermal Fillers

HydraFacial before fillers = fine (even same day).

After fillers = wait 5–7 days, since the suction could displace freshly placed filler.

Retinol / Strong Topicals (AHAs, BHAs, tretinoin, hydroquinone, etc.)

Stop retinol or strong acids 2–3 days before HydraFacial.

Resume 2 days after, once skin calms.

Face – the most common area (classic treatment).

Neck & Décolleté – smooths, firms, and rejuvenates delicate skin often exposed to sun and aging.

Back – deep cleansing and extractions for clogged pores and breakouts.

Arms – improves texture, tone, and hydration.

Hands – treats dryness, sun damage, and signs of aging.

Scalp (Keravive) – specialized treatment to exfoliate, nourish, and stimulate healthier hair growth.

Buttocks / Thighs – for smoother skin, improved texture, and pore refinement.

Lips & Eyes  – targeted HydraFacial serums for plumping lips and refreshing tired eyes.
